About St. Luke's College of Health Sciences
St. Luke’s has gained the approval to establish the St. Luke’s College of Health Sciences, a private, not-for-profit, singularly focused institution of higher learning committed to preparing tomorrow’s health care practitioners and leaders by providing an unparalleled educational experience that comprises both hands-on clinical and classroom learning.
The St. Luke’s College of Health Sciences is located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania on a beautiful campus shared with St. Luke’s University Health Network, a hospital network that has repeatedly been recognized by Premier as a top teaching hospital in the country. Since the establishment of its School of Nursing in 1884, St. Luke’s University Health Network has been focused on workforce development and delivering educational offerings to working individuals who strive to start, grow and thrive in a career in health care.
About St. Luke’s University Health Network
St. Luke’s University Health Network (SLUHN) is a non-profit, regional, fully integrated, nationally recognized network providing services at 16 campuses and more than 300 sites throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Founded in 1872, St. Luke’s University Health Network provides cost-effective, high-quality care to patients, regardless of their ability to pay. We also operate a robust network of primary and specialty practices, outpatient testing and service facilities, a regional medical school campus, the nation’s oldest operating nursing school, home health, inpatient and outpatient hospice services, and the largest trauma network in Pennsylvania. St. Luke’s employs more than 23,000 staff members (including 2,000 physicians) and has a thriving volunteer program.
St. Luke’s has educated health care professionals for more than 140 years, dating back to 1884 when it opened its School of Nursing. These efforts evolved over decades, culminating with the establishment of the St. Luke’s School of Medicine in 2009, through a partnership with Temple University.
St. Luke’s commitment to the education and continued development of health care practitioners ensures our ability to provide excellent health care to the communities it serves.
