Accreditations

Our Current Status

St. Luke’s College of Health Sciences has received approval from the Pennsylvania Department of Education as an associate and baccalaureate degree granting institution. With our state approval in place, we are preparing to welcome our first class of students. The College will be seeking institutional accreditation from Middle States Commission on Higher Education and programmatic accreditation from the following:

  • Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) – St. Luke’s College of Health Sciences is currently in the process of seeking CoARC accreditation for a respiratory care program. However, St. Luke’s College of Health Sciences can provide no assurance that accreditation will be granted by the CoARC.
  • Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology
  • Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education

Middle States Accreditation Update

St. Luke’s College of Health Sciences is currently engaged in the process of determining eligibility to apply for Candidate for Accreditation status (pre-application) with the Middle States Commission on Higher Education’s (MSCHE). MSCHE is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education to conduct accreditation and pre-accreditation (candidacy status) activities for institutions of higher education, including distance education, correspondence education programs, and direct assessment programs offered at those institutions.

The Commission’s geographic area of accrediting activities is throughout the United States. MSCHE accepts complaints and third-party comments for institutions engaged in the application and candidacy process. Please visit MSCHE’s website at www.msche.org for more information. MSCHE provides an online form for the submission of complaints or third-party comments on its website.
